Heads and balls ‹ the royal baby’s name explained

Interesting choice of names for the royal baby: George Alexander Louis.

George is an, old traditional name favoured by grandfathers, which ages the child by two generations before he is out of his cot.

George is also a kingly name and brings to mind George III who lost north America and his marbles, both.

St. George is also the patron saint of the English Defence League, the British National Party and UKIP.

Alexander seems to be a nod at Crewe Alexander and Scottish football, presumably in an effort to keep the separatists in the union.

And King Louis XVI had his head cut off in the French revolution and is presumably a nod (albeit a severed one) to republicans.
